On July 13, 2009, Chanticleer Holdings, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it has entered into a franchisee agreement with Hooters of America, Inc., through an affiliated joint venture, pursuant to which the joint venture has obtained the rights to open seven Hooters restaurants in The Republic of South Africa.  A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
